In addition to our furniture range we design and make bespoke pieces to order. These may be variations of some of the designs you can see on our website or a new completely original piece. The usual process involved in commissioning a piece is as follows:
Please initially provide us with a description of the piece you wish to have made. We will then discuss with you the various options.
Once we have agreed on the design, we will provide a quotation for the work. If the quotation is acceptable and you wish to proceed we require a 10% deposit. We will then provide you with detailed drawings and samples of all the finishes.
Once you have signed off the design we require a further 40% deposit before commencing work on your piece. Simpler pieces of furniture usually take 6 – 8 weeks to complete and more complex pieces usually 10 – 12 weeks.
The balance of payment is required on completion of your piece.
Commissioning a piece of original furniture is usually a hugely rewarding and exciting project. We often find clients have their own fabulous design ideas and our job is principally to advise on some of the smaller details and finishes and make the pieces to our extremely exacting standards.
